The Turtle Theory
In my practice, I love to use the example of "The Turtle Theory". It's the idea that patience with your own path and progress allows you to focus on your destination without feeling rushed, panicked, or distracted by the achievements and paths of others around you.
Turtles don’t rush.
Turtles don’t panic.
Turtles don’t care who’s ahead of them.
They just keep swimming — one stroke at a time.
Through chaos, through calm.
And somehow, they always make it to shore.
Because speed means nothing when your journey is built on patience.
You don’t need to sprint.
You just need to stay in motion.
Slow progress is still progress.
And peace will always outlast pressure.
